Our Sick Little Boy

So Caleb had some kind of viral infection last week...poor guy had a fever of 103 at the highest! I was upset because I called the Drs office and they said that they didnt have an opening but I figured that since his fever was that high they would atleast let him come in furing the walk in hours but no..they told me that I could make an appointment or I could take him to the ER! I was furious-any good Drs office would see a kid with a fever that high that didnt go down with meds I would think. Anyways, Dawn and I took him to the Urgent Care here in town and ta da $300 and 4hrs later-he has a viral infection take him home and continue what you are doing...although if his fever increases even one degree bring him right in and we will admit him...getting madder....ok so by now his fever is getting to where its just at night so we can see a light at the end of the tunnel. I made an appointment with the Dr just in case but they said the same thing and said that it should be on its way out...The next day he was his usual happy self! Yeah! Then he got this rash all over his face-we still arent sure what it is-his eyes were all red and his face was covered in red blotches that werent there about a hr before and lasted about a day before they totally went away...not sure what that was. So after about a week he was back to his normal self, at mooville, and eating his mac and cheese. I am sure we have lots of sicknesses to go through but I am not anxiously awaiting them.

We Found an Awsome Sandbox!

So as the title states, we found a cool sandbox for caleb to play in. It just so happens that it was at the greenhouse that I go to. I had planned on taking him back there when I needed to get more flowers but dawn said that she needed to get some plants so I suggested cherry valley. We took so many photos-he loved the sandbox. They also had a moon bounce but he is still a little to young to appreciate a good bounce. We thought that we could get some plants cheaper at the greenhouse down the road so we packed up and went there, after we were just about through we looked over at the garden that they had made and there was a small water wheel-PHOTO OP! So as you can tell we made caleb sit by it...he was eating the mulch and trying to get into the water but its still really cute.

2nd Mothers Day

On mothers day my mom came up and we all went out for icecream. It wasnt that easy to find somewhere open on a sunday however. We had thought about going to dairy queen, but we do that all the time and we wanted to do something different so we thought oh well we can go to mooville-of the 4 of us dawn was the only one that had been there so we thought that it would be fun. We drove all the way out there from dawns house to find a note on their door stating there hours...'never open on sundays' ok well dooly noted for the next sunday that we want to go there huh. So we were like hmm where to go-well a new icecream shop just opened up in town so we drove all the way back into town to find that they were closed too...so dairy queen it is! It was good though and caleb loved it so all was well. We still wanted to take a picture for calebs scrapbook so we headed back over to dawns house and we took these shots by her redbud tree.

Here are some pictures that I have been taking over the past couple of months.
The first is of caleb 'helping' me organize his album...
The second is of him crawling around on the front lawn just after dad had mowed it.
The third is davids doing, he put calebs shorts on his head and made him a chef-he seemed to enjoy it.
And the last one is of caleb swinging in his safari hat-he loves his swing.

Earthday 2009

We got caleb an oak sapling when he was a couple months old from the pierce cedar creek institute. Grandma Dawn put it in a pot and kept it alive until Earthday this year. We planted it in her front garden to grow for a couple of years and then we will move it somewhere else. Grandpa also planted some more trees back by the creek. He took you on a ride on the ford all the way back to the creek and then you played in the grass for a while before you came back up to the house and home for the night. You love to eat mulch and dirt-grandma had her hands full trying to keep things out of your mouth. I thought that grass atleast would be the lesser of the evils so I allowed it. We are getting you a tree to plant every year from now on.

The Zoo

The first day that the zoo opened my friend Rainy and I took our 'kids' to the zoo-she brought her nephew but he is as good as hers. It was so hot out that day! It was the beginning of April but it was almost 75 degrees! Anyways they didnt have a whole lot of animals out yet and they hiked the prices up really high but all in all I think they had a good time. Rainy and I lived and learned-we brought 2 coolers, 2 strollers and a diaper bag with us all around the zoo, that isnt so bad you say..well we went to wild africa and we had to load and unload all of our stuff 4 times! We didnt even get into the coolers unitl we got back to the car-oh well we will remember for next time I guess. Caleb and Zander fed the giraffes and got some cute things at the gift shop-Caleb got a giraffe frame and a frog the he picked out himself. We also took a ride on the carosel-that was fun but the camera was acting up so we didnt get as many photos as we wanted to. He was so good the whole time, he drank now and then and had snacks through the duration but didnt really ask for anything until we got back to the car-he didnt even need a diaper change! He was such a good boy!

2nd Easter

I know its a little past Easter but we have been really busy lately...sorry.
Anyways I got Calebs picture taken with the Easter bunny at walmart for free!!! He was a little sullen though but it still came out cute. (I still havent gotten a chance to scan it sorry) I got him a really cute sweater vest with an argyle sp? print on it! He looked just adorable. On Easter we went down to the Gilberts for dinner and an easter egg hunt. Caleb found lots of eggs! He donated his candy though and got some money for his piggy bank for his good deed. We then went over to my moms house and visited with my mom and aunt beth, mom and I went for a stroller ride with caleb while david and aunt beth watched tv at the house. Caleb and I slept all the way home-it was a long day.
