I know that I missed Grandma's birthday on June 8th, but I am getting an early start on Grandpa's...For those of you that dont know....



My Grandpa's name was Glen Elgin Firestone. He married my Grandma shortly after she had my aunt beth (from a previous marriage). Grandpa adopted aunt beth as his own and they later went on to have Brenda (Gina & Heidi) , Katrina (Sabrina & Katrina), and Tonya (Me). They had their rough times but that was way before I was born so I dont know much about that. The whole time that I knew them they were the 'grandparent type' you know all lovey and all about life in general. They loved to take trips to visit all the grandkids and they visited me either by coming and seeing me in oklahoma or bringing me to Michigan for the summer. We always went to church every Sunday and grandma always wanted me to go to yard sales and gadding with her...but I much prefered when Grandpa would say hey you! you wanna go to a job with me and help me fix poop pipes? That was the highlight of my summers. The downside was he always wanted payment...he always wanted me to clean his dentures and if I refused he would always chase me through the halls until I yelled for grandma or locked myself in my bedroom-it was all in good fun though. So we moved up here finally and into their house so we got to spend a lot more time with them. Grandma had just got over her cancer and it was in remission so they were taking more trips all over the world. Her cancer came back and it hit grandpa really hard...then she passed on and then he got prostate cancer-which was hard for the whole family especially givin the circumstances....he was a fighter though, just like grandma. He later remarried and moved to Quincy, he then got lukemia I believe and wasnt so fortunate this time and passed on my 18th birthday. I have many memories of my poop pipe grandpa and I will be posting more on here throughout the month if I can. I wish he would have lived long enough to see the great grandkids, I think that he would have really enjoyed that, grandma as well. Hope you enjoy the pics.

Lots of 6 Month Pictures

Ok I am in a hurry someone got his shots today and is in a cranky mood....Here are the new pics, I have more but I will have to put them on here on a later date...sorry. Anyways he has both of his bottom teeth in now and he is working on the top left so hopefully by his 8 month pictures he will be all toothy! We will be getting them taken around Halloween so hopefully we can get some costume pictures taken, we are thinking about making him baby hercules because it would be easy this year and david and I both have greek costumes-there cheap and easy.

Caleb,

Your 6 months old Turkey (almost)! We are so proud of you and you always brighten our day. You have been eating really well-I think that you have tried almost everything that you can have at this age...you really dont care for green beans though...I will try them again and see how things go. You have been really having a hard time getting your teeth in but it all worked out in the end, you now have one tooth above the surface (bottom left) and I am happy to report that you are working on your second bottom as we speak..well type. I am so excited for you....you will be much happier when they are in too I am sure. Your party was really nice, we got the pool up and it was a nice warm day so your dad, me and amanda went for a dip after the party. I couldnt get everyone's picture on here but they probably think thats a good thing! The people that came were: mom, dad, both grandmas, your great grandparents, grandpa lloyd, aunt lorna and uncle aaron, great aunt karen, great uncle carl and aunt teresa, priscilla and larry and you of course. You got lots of neat toys to play with too! Joann couldnt come on saturday so she came the day before and got you all to herself..she also got you some books and a big red wagon! I will have to take a picture of all your new goodies when I get a minute. Oh I almost forgot! You got in the pool for the first time today! I will get the pictres on here later if it will let me load them-I have been having problems with it lately. Tomorrow grandma dawn and us are going to look around for some bins to put your toys in, grandma tonya gave you some money and mom and dad are going to build it for you so will have room to play with them in your small bedroom.

Thats all that has been going on, your having a rough night and dad wants me to come and watch a movie with him before he goes to bed since we dont really see eachother during the week.

New Pictures

The pictures wouldn't load...big surprise huh. Oh well I will try again some other time, now it is time to give Caleb a diaper change and a midnight snack! I will be taking a lot more on the 16Th during his party. I am so excited about it-of course he will never be able to remember it! We just went and bought a huge pool today and we are in the process of filling it up. Hopefully everything will go well and we can all use it at the party. I cant wait to see what Caleb's reaction will be when he gets in there for the first time! We also should be getting the professional photos back soon, we took a family one this time too and it came out really well. Caleb is also teething and not in a very good mood. Last night was awful, we tried everything but he cried for an hour straight and then finally went to sleep. Tonight wasn't good but it wasn't as bad as last night...I hope we never have to go through that again.
Hope to see everyone at the party..Gina doesn't have to be the only one commenting on here you guys lol.
Oh that reminds me, if anyone knows how to get the movie off of my digital camcorder please tell me! I cant figure it out and I really want to make a DVD for this Christmas-not to mention make one of last Christmas!
