4 Months

Here is your 4 month old photo, the others were having technical difficulties. They came out so well. (for those of you who are not computer savy, if you want a photo, right click with your mouse on it and click on save to your computer. Then you can do whatever you want to with it.

Caleb,
You made a new friend this month! You met your godmother Amanda's boyfriend Aaron. You also spent the day with them at Joanns and everyone thought that you were cute. You had your second well baby check up this month and you were 15 pounds and 26 inches long! Geez your getting big now. You can hold your head up really well now, it just wobbles a little bit. You were so good getting your shots too, you were squealing when the nurse came in and I had taken the mirror off the wall and was playing with you when she gave you the shots...you puckered your little lower lip and were mad for mere seconds and then you were back to squealing-really loud. Also you have outgrown your baby tub already so I got you a new one today-its a rubber ducky!

You got your picture taken with your dad on the tractor that your grandpa and him did a long time ago...its so cute. You are finally sleeping through the night and then some too! You go to bed at 7p, we get you back up at 10p to change you and feed you, then you sleep until about 8:30 in the morning! Thats a relief let me tell you. We are having a party for you when you turn 6 months so mom is trying to plan that and get some babies there because you just love to see other babies. Oh I almost forgot! We started you on squash this morning and you really liked it, well once you realized that you couldnt suck on the spoon that is. I also made another new garden and put some annual pots here and there so next year hopefully you wont dig up my flowers but we can go and get you some and you can help mom make the yard look good.

Well thats about it Turkey.

The Guys on Fathers Day

Here are the guys on Fathers Day on the Farm.

4 months sure has flown by

We headed down to Bronson after I got out of work on Saturday. Caleb was good all the way there, well probably because he slept the whole way! We got to the Gilberts a little early so we thought that we would just wait for them at their house because Caleb wanted something to eat and he had a wet diaper. So we got in the house alright, pet the dogs, and then when we decided to go and get the phone just to tell Amanda that we were here...we found that we werent being allowed to leave....Andy and Kelseys dog had decided that we had intruded and he wanted us to get busted. He growled and snapped at David when he tried to leave so I thought well he knows me so I will just go and get my shoes and get the cell phone.... nope he tried to bite me too! I thought well thats strange that he let us in and didnt act wierd...I even pet him! So we stayed in the parlor with the door shut and David went out another door and got the phone, called Amanda and she came over. David went to go to the bathroom and the dog isnt allowed on the carpet, let alone all the way up the stairs so I figured David was safe...Coniack followed him up the stairs and was wating for him to come out of the bathroom growling! He told him to get downstairs and he did. He seemed to be fine after that, but it still worried me that he was being so aggressive and I was holding Caleb...the dog would have to die! But he was cool when we all got outside. Anyways.

So here is the 4 Month old letter.

Caleb, you have been really busy this month. You have been getting so big and round! You did some new things this month like saying more words. You now say Yeah, Hi, Hey You, and Ah Goo. I'm not kidding either, everyone can tell when you say it. You also got your pictures taken with both grandparents this month, got one for the percheron news letter, and one for the fiber festival. Your going to be famous! Everyone likes your new stroller, and I took you for a walk in it down the road but decided that I wouldnt do that again because the car that went by didnt move over at all and he threw rocks all over us! You didnt get hit though, thank goodness. So I asked Ron Coats if we could walk down his lane and he said yeah so the next day we went for a walk down there-you liked it. We also had a series of really bad storms here. Your grandpa said that it was a hundred year storm because the ditches he has out back by the lane are meant to hold water for a realllllly big storm and they were over full and the stream by where you got your pictures just a couple weeks before is all washed out. Mom had just put down mulch in the front yard and made it look nice and then we got that storm and the front yard had 2 feet of water in it and was going about 15 miles an hour! So my mulch went with it. You go to your next doctors visit on the 23rd and mom has to ask about a cyst that you have on the back of your head, your dad has one in the same spot but I just want to make sure its ok. Grandma Tonya is going to be coming to see you this weekend so mom and dad can go to a wedding rehersal and wedding this weekend. You havent met Dale White yet, but I am sure you will, your just too young to go to a wedding yet. I have also got 3 patches done on your quilt and I have to get the 4 month one done soon! Geez time is really flying. We are also having a party for you in August to celebrate your 6 month birthday since everyone lives so far away that they wont be able to make the trip in the winter, but you will still have a party then too!

Well thats about it Turkey, your thinking that you would like a bath and then to watch a movie in your bathrobe with breakfast, then we can go into town and get dad a cake for fathers day since mom ate all the cake that he brought home the other day.

New pictures on their way

Caleb got his pictures done yesterday a little before his 4 month birthday but oh well. We werent able to get a family photo because of weekend plans so we will have to get one at his 6 month appointment. For Fathers Day Caleb got his daddy a 'best dad hands down' shirt and mom and grandma helped him put his hand and foot prints on it for dad. Of course I couldnt hold out and I gave it to David tonight, but its not because I'm weak this time, its because I want him to wear it tomorrow when we go down to Bronson to see Amanda. I will probably take lots of pictures because Amanda hasnt seen Caleb since he was born. David has been doing a lot more with him lately and Lloyd even picked him up while grandma Dawn was getting a bottle ready. Well since I probably wont have time later I will make another blog for his 4 month post here in a minute- he has been doing some exciting new things! Oh we will get his pictures at or before July 2nd. He took realllllly good ones this time and we got one mid squeal!

Some New Pictures and Events

The first one is of Caleb watching Ellen and laughing/babbling along with her. The second is Jack being silly again. I walked in Calebs room to find Jack rolling his head around to look at me from the changing table...

Well some interesting things have been going on here lately. I got the job at the spa as a massage therapist! I am so excited to start there. I'm still at the greenhouse but just for the rest of the season. We were doing really well and were thinking about getting a pool for the backyard and then on Davids way into work yesterday he hit a deer and we think it bent the frame on his car, that stinks, now we have to figure something out because we cant afford for me to take him into work, come home go into work, 3 hrs later, come home, go and get him 2 hours later, go home and drop him off, then go all the way back into town to go to the greenhouse and then go home-all while paying for daycare....Dawn has been thinking about getting a new car and David wants us to buy her truck, but times are hard for everyone and if Lloyd looses his job then they will be single income with 2 car payments. Oh well we will have to figure something out.

On a lighter note, Amanda is going to be coming to visit Caleb this weekend and she is going to be getting pictures with him (I moved the date up a week so he wont technically be 4 months but oh well). She hasnt seen him since the birth which stinks because she is his godmother but she went and moved to Ohio last year...I'm working on getting her back up here. Aaron-her boyfriend hasnt even ever met my little man but he is coming up too! We were thinking about maybe going canouing but as we have been having floods here the river is just about to the bridge so we thought better of it. We just got our power back on yesterday and some people are still without power!

We are having a 6 month birthday party for him on August 16th since no one will probably be able to make it to his real birthday in the winter. I'm going to send out invites at the end of this month.

LoL he is watching the price is right now and betting on a blender! Well I have to go the laundry isnt going to do itself.
