Carving Pumpkins

Last night David, Caleb and I did all the hard work carving the pumpkins so all we had to do today was take some pictures. Caleb was less that cooperative today, much to my displeasure. Oh well, it happens right? He looooves the red pumpkins eyes so I had to cave later :)

Play Date With Jenna

Caleb went to see Grandma Tonya and then we came over to Coldwater to have a play date with Jenna. Caleb talks a big game about being in love with Jenna but then he sees her and he panics... He gets over it though as you can tell and cant get enough of her-specially her long hair.

They watched Rio together and did flashcards for numbers. After that we ate dinner and made construction paper pumpkins.

Now its back home to put my wore out little guy to bed!

Caleb has been begging me to rake the leaves into a huge pile since summer and I have been promising him for weeks but I have either been sick or have allergies, Im not sure so we just got to it...

Earlier this week we were all taking a walk and I was subconsciously plotting out photo ops like usual and found this little spot tucked away in a pine tree forest.

Ive been sick but nothing, I repeat NOTHING will stop me in search of the perfect picture!

I sprang it on my boys this afternoon and this is the result.

Dads getting old, hes 27 years old now! Mom took us all out with Grandma and Grandpa to dads favorite resturant 'mexican connection' yuck.
I got David his favorite show; Fringe season 3 and made him a cake. To throw him off I came home with a knome and a card...it worked! Thanks in part to the fact that I didnt tell my little squealer Caleb about any of it.

S.S. Tangle Town

Caleb was very independent today and played all by himself for a bit. Then mom and dad took turns occupying our little busy bee.

We had a picnic and then Caleb said goodbye to everything; the turtle, the spider, the ship, the slide, the table, the trash, the fence and the other cars.

We had almost gotten home when he wispered "happymeal"? So back into town we went for a happymeal being the suckers we are.

A walk with mom and dad

After we got back from Meijer we still had a restless child who wanted to go to the park but he had two tired parents so we opted for a walk down the lane.

As we were walking along dad realized that I had my camera and we took some pictures with Caleb...

The farther we walked the more interesting things Caleb found and the more places I saw photo ops :)

Caleb stopped dead in his tracks when he saw a humungus hawk flying overhead, it didnt help that I told him it was coming to get him haha. Then I picked some flowers (his favorites) and gave them to him for some pics...he did some but then he threw them at me and said no...hmm I dont like this no business so I shoved one in his back pocket and took some more pictures.

On the way back we stopped to smell a pine tree and I picked him up so he could pick a pinecone, he absolutly loved it and began plucking them off on his own.

I dont know what got into me but I snatched Caleb up and gave him a long piggy back ride on the straight stretch home, WHEW!

Another day, another ADVENTURE!

John made the mistake of thinking you can sit on the floor with tired kids around. He was tag teamed.

We hadn't planned on having a cookout this year but everybody was asking about one so we had one a little later than we had wanted.

Lots of people came this year and Caleb was happy to see that lots of kids were able to come so he wasn't stuck with all us old farts like he was last year.

The older boys were playing 'marines' while Caleb ate, Jenna was a mermaid in the pool while Caleb ate and then after he ate some more he got in the pool and had a blast. He did really well with me holding a bunch of babies that day, he didn't care at all (a good sign).

Caleb wanted Jenna to draw with chalk with him but she was content to swing and play in the sandbox so he convinced dad to join in :) Later Caleb made a 'C' on a block, it was very nice.

We were going to have a bonfire with smores after dark but the mosquitoes were so bad that we decided to call it an early night. I considered making smores on the stove but I bailed because just then Johnny came over. Alisha and her boys were still there who happen to be Johns cousins so when Robert saw Johnny sit on the floor he saw a challenge. Caleb later joined in and John payed dearly :)

All in all a good day, we will do it all again next year!

Summerfest Parade 2011

Grandma Tonya came to visit us for the weekend for our cookout tomorrow and was as shocked as I was to hear that we would be IN the Hastings Summerfest parade today. It was Calebs first time even seeing a parade let alone be in one, so spoiled. He was completly crushed to find that the kids on the sidelines were all being given candy and he wasnt. He was still a really good boy though; waving to all his fans and whatnot.

He saw some really wierd things like clowns for the first time.

Dad also is a little heavier than he thought and broke our seat haha. We got it fixed though and all was well.

I couldnt help but take a picture of this little boy with his cow bell, he was so excited and completly wore himself out ringing that thing.

Trip to Holland

After mom got out of work on Saturday we drove up and over to Holland to see David's Aunt and Uncle.

Caleb looooves his 'Grandma Aunt Marge' and Cow. Marge didn't think that we were coming until the next morning to she went craft shopping, we had gave her up for dead and then were on our way out to get pizza when she showed up haha. Anyways after some yummy pizza we chatted for a bit and then started getting Caleb ready for bed. He watched a little bit of Charlottes Web with dad but when mom came in he asked for it to be shut off so he could go to bed! We didnt hear a peep out of him until I woke him up around 9am the next morning!

Cal made waffles and we had bacon and fruit also. Then it was off to the beach. Caleb was posing really well and being just downright adorable in the sand (we finally got him shoe and sockless) until he saw a green kite... the bane of the rest of the beach trip; he wanted to hold it....

He couldnt resist and ran into the water. Good thing mom brought extra pants!

After we got back we had lunch and Caleb actually ate mashed potatoes. David and I were staring open mouthed at our kid! He hates mashed potatoes!

We talked and had some icecream on the porch and then it was time to say goodbye.

I wanted to get dressed up and take my boys out for dinner but Grandma was tired so we picked up Pizza Hut and took it to her, ate and then hit the pasture for some pics.

I love the ones of Caleb and Grandma. He gave her a hug, a kiss and then shoved a piece of grass down her bra. Classic.

Grandmas Visit

Grandma Tonya came up to see us this weekend and Caleb had a blast.

Today they went to the park so mom and dad could work in the yard and get lots of stuff done and Grandma even took him to Dairy Queen for some cream cream. Grandma told me that at the park a little girl had came up to Caleb and told him he was cute and gave him a little orange heart. Caleb wouldnt speak to her of course but he treasured the heart still. Once they got back Caleb actually let me cut his hair so now hes even more handsome. He was promised pool time if he was good which he was so in we went. After a couple empty threats from mom he knows not to splash anyone but Grandma.

Pool Time

Its been a while since the pool was cooler than outside because its been so hot out so we took advantage of it and hopped in. We figured Priscialla was hot at her house so we gave her a call too. Caleb and Dad mostly played with the ball and splashed but then Caleb dropped his horse in the water and panicked..Dad to the rescue! Caleb was on the shark before I grabbed my camera and he rolled off but held onto the strap and kept his head above the water and didnt panic! He was doing a really good job swimming today, what a big boy.

Dad made lots of waves and then dunked Priscilla so she and I decided to go and grab a pizza-yay, mom doesnt have to cook ;)

Everyone had a good night and Caleb went right to bed at 7:30 for Priscilla.

Calebs First Box Fort

Michigans Adventure

Grandma Tonya stayed the night last night so first thing this morning we were off to pick up Trevor and onward to Michigans Adventure.

We had hoped that Caleb would be tall enough to ride most of the rides at 38" tall but nope, just a few. He did enjoy the tilt o whirl and the water park part. We found him some airplanes to ride and he was just peachy...till Grandma and I walked away; then he was ready to jump!

Trevor made the little drums go so fast Caleb and I thought we were going to puke!

I knew Caleb wouldnt meet Snoopy on his own but I had no idea that if I went with him he freak out like he did haha.

Grandma got him a snowglobe magnet and a shirt that says 'cant wait till 48' on the front for obvious reasons.

Im sure he will grow 4 inches in the next year at the rate hes going and thats big enough to ride most things!

Civil War Muster

Mom was super tired after work today but she rushed home, picked up Caleb and Grandma Tonya and rushed to Charlton Park!

Today and tomorrow are the Civil War Muster days and Caleb loves to see the battle. This year we didnt go to the battle because dad was sick and mom was at work but we stopped by afterwards to get some pictures for the scrapbook!

Tonights Adventure, Lightning Bugs!

I was about to come inside tonight when Caleb screamed "A BEE!" I turned to see his hands up on his face home alone style with a look of terror on his face. After I realize its a lightning bug and help him calm down he wispered "can I touch it?" I laugh and say yeah you can touch it. He reaches out to touch it with one finger and it lights up; he screams BEE and were back to square one.

We have a long summer ahead of us.

Tractor Show at Charlton Park

We took Caleb to his 3rd tractor show at Charlton Park today. Thats all he talked about from the words good morning today.

Grandpa was a little late but Caleb got to go for a ride and best of all he got some Hillbillys Heavenly Hawg!!!

The shingles werent done when we left today so Dad is going back tomorrow to pick one up.

Fort Wayne Childrens Zoo

Caleb slept in the hotel, so we all had a good nights rest!

After breakfast we met up with Uncle Carl and Aunt Theresa at their house and drove to the zoo.

Caleb almost couldn't believe his eyes when he realized we had actually got there (he had been waiting for the giraffes all weekend). He looked at all of the animals in turn being very patient but as we entered 'Africa' he began to ask to see the giraffes whenever he thought we were doddling.

He had absolutely no idea, but I asked him to go stand up to the glass by a lion and he did it...great photo op!

Carl and Theresa couldn't believe how willingly he did what I asked him to do because I was constantly asking him to go stand by something or to come try this and of course he did it!

We finally got to the giraffes, bought the lettuce, and took Caleb over to the hungriest one; he then held out the food, screamed and threw the lettuce at the zoo helper and ran to dad. Everyone laughed.

Then we walked around and saw all the different animals. Next he was pestering us to see the turtles. Once he saw them and realized they just layed there in the shade he was unimpressed and walked away.

In 'Australia' he saw a dingo that he was certain was our dog Lucy. He also took a river log ride with Carl and I and visited the 'Great Barrier Reef' where he quickly pointed out the 'Dory fish' and the 'baby Dory fish'.

In 'The Indonesian Rain Forest' he made a Komodo Dragon drool over him and rode the endangered species carousel several times.

We still had loads of punches left on our card but he got hungry and asked for a cheeseburger happy meal please.

Hotel

After Science Central, we went to the hotel and checked in. Gina and Liam met us there and we spent the next couple hours in the pool. Gina and I mostly just took pictures but I got in occasionally. Caleb was so brave and after a while of swimming with mom, dad and Liam he ventured in by himself! First he started out with his little turtle with him and then later all by himself with his life vest! WOW, good job baby boy!

Liam wanted to play with everybody but everybody was busy so David grabbed him and jumped in the deep end. Liam couldn't believe it and steered clear of David for the rest of the pool time.

We went back into the hotel and got ready for dinner at Logan's Roadhouse. It was so good and for the most part the kids were good thanks to technology even though it took a long time to get our food.

We were sad to tell Gina and Liam goodbye but we gave hugs and said see you in about 5 years.

Hopefully we can take a trip over to Utah before then :)

Science Central

Instead of going to a children's museum this year, we took Caleb to a science museum geared toward kids in Ft. Wayne Indiana. He had no idea that my cousin Gina and her 5 1/2 year old son would be meeting us there! Caleb was a little shy at first but then started running around and exploring everything. We watched a demonstration about how weather is created, learned about sound and light waves and optical illusions. Caleb's favorite part was learning how a hot air balloon works, he revisited that one several times.

We found a petting area with different types of animals like guinea pigs and lizards. As I was sitting on a chair trying to coax Caleb to pet the guinea pig I looked over and right behind me was a tarantula in a tank looking right at me. It was a test of honor that I didn't drop Caleb and run right there! I just shuddered and looked away. Luckily dad came over because Caleb had decided that he wanted to look at it with someone. Yuck!

After everything was thoroughly explored we visited the gift shop where Caleb picked out a turtle and a magnet for 'moms fridge'.

Visit to Holland

We packed up and went to Holland MI this weekend to visit David's Aunt Marge and Uncle Cal.

Caleb took right to them and even let Marge keep her shirt buttoned up this time! We had a fantastic lunch at their place and then it was off to the lake for some fishing. Caleb likes the idea of fishing but hates the waiting game and above all, hates touching the fish. He spent some time on the dock with us but then grabed Marge and headed for the slide. The guys caught a couple fish and I had a couple nibbles but it was all catch and release.

When we all had our fill of the lake they were very elusivly might I add telling us that they were taking us to see "The Captain". I thought it was a bathroom or something as a joke haha. It turned out to be a really cute icecream shop that apparently (Past thankfully) President Bush had visited.

I took lots of pictures of course and ended up with some milk jugs that will forever make Grandpa Lloyd ponder where they came from.

Caleb and I crashed on the way home and were ready for adventure and pizza later!

1st Fishing Trip

Caleb took his first fishing trip today! First we went to fish hatchery park hoping that we would have an easy time catching something. Oh how wrong we were! The fish there were so pampered that they wouldnt bite on anything that wasnt from McDonalds. We had all but given up when I thought of our neighbor Mr. Coats' ponds right across the road from us. We didnt think that we would catch anything there but we thought hey, we dont have anything better to do so we off we went.

Caleb as it turns out is quite the lazy fisherman. He spent most of the time in the Jeep watching us curled up in the blanket. It was really cold that day for some reason.

As soon as David cast Calebs line out he had landed himself a 16 inch smallmouth bass!! We proceeded to catch about 6 in all of about 10 minutes.

We had a blast and plan on going back soon. Hopefully next time Caleb will touch the fish next time!

Beach

Kelsey and I had nothing better to do that day then lounge in the sun with the kids...so thats just what we did.

It was Calebs first time in the water at a lake and he was really shy at first but then took to it well.

Aiden just walked around talking to everyone and watching them build sandcastles and whatnot...generally just being a buddah.

We attempted to grill some hotdogs but Kelsey just couldnt get the grill going and even resorted to lighting each piece of charcoal on fire. No go. We ate them cold LOL.

Good times were had by all.

Pool

We are trying to teach Caleb how to swim with a life jacket on this year...

He is doing pretty well and we are in the 3rd week of it. He is completly content to sit on his turtle and just dip his toes in the water or dangle from the ladder but we get him in once in a while. Slowly hes learning that we wont allow him to drown but he still has his doubts.

Hopefully by the end of the summer I can post a pic of a little fish in a life jacket!

Feeding Foul

We were bored and Caleb was wound up so we took him to the park and then later got some icecream :)

I spent the whole car ride over talking and not balling bread so when we got there I sat in the car for about 10 mins with a impatient audience outside my door hissing at me.

There were a bunch of kids there so our bread went fast but Caleb had a good time feeding the geese, ducks and fish.

Music Appreciation

Caleb loves music.

He loves to dance, sing and be free.

I was attempting to lay out in the sun....alone... but Caleb had other plans.

I got a pretty good base tan before he came out and wondered what I was doing. I brought his little chair over and put it in the shade. Mission accomplished! Or so I thought.... He came over and snatched an ear bud out of my ear and put it up to his. Adorable. His expression was a look of astonishment - priceless. He dropped his jaw and then said oooo mama what iiiisss that? I said thats moms music baby, you wanna sit and listen with me? He nods his head, wide eyed.

Now I can't lay out with my buds if hes around if I dont want to share but once you become a mother, thats all you do is share and you love it <3

To Purple Grandmother's House We Go

For those of you who don't know...I got into a car accident on Thursday on my way back from school orientation and will now not being going to school which started Monday.

That being said, I called my mom and asked her if I could borrow her car for a week or so until I get either a new one or mine gets repaired and she said yes. The next day David and I had off together was Sunday so off we went.

Caleb loves his Grandma so much he even pet her lizard this time-no fear. She cooked us some turkey and mashed potatoes and Caleb ate every last bite of his turkey :)

Then it was off to the park to wear out my toddler. The first thing he spotted was the slide of course! He kind of had a rough time on the swings because I thought he was on the other side of the park with my mom on the smaller swings and I was on the big swings-swinging high when I looked down and saw him right in front of me.....WHAM right in the face. Hes a trooper though and went back to the little swings where I swang with him until it was time to go.

Yearly Allium Pictures

For those of you who don't know, I take Calebs pictures in my allium garden every year. It's the one time of the year that I let him get in my garden and he revels in it. He has been really good in the past about leaving the buds on the stems but this year was a K-tastrophy! There were many casualties, but I got some great pics of my little man making some wishes off the weeds that just won't take no for an answer.

Froggy Wishes

Caleb needed to get out and run for a while today so we took him to the park but he was just hot and not wanting to rest so we convinced him to go to the farm and see Grandpa. We also may have mentioned to him something about icecream but that comes up later.

David and I spent some time with the horses while Caleb helped Grandpa with the skidsteer and some fence posts.

Then Grandma got up and Caleb talked her into going to get some 'cream cream'.

When we got back David and I went mushroom hunting while Grandpa was teaching Caleb how to make a wish from the dandylion tufts. It was so cute that when I got back I grabbed her camera and started taking some pics.

David called us over because he found a frog...Caleb had never seen one in real life before so he was super excited! He 'pet it nice' once but that was enough for him, he stuck his hands in his pockets and wouldnt take them out.

We finally got him to tell the frog bye and on the ride home he convinced himself that the frog was at work.

He's So Smart!

Caleb is getting so smart!

He knows all of his numbers, letters, letter sounds, animals, shapes, and colors. He also knows how to cut with sissors already! He doesnt know how to count all the way to ten but he knows all the numbers and can go to 5 no problem. The alphabet is giving him some problems but he knows what each letter is and what sound it makes in a word. We are working on all that plus starting to learn our US states! He's doing so well.

The pictures up there are as follows:

- An 'A'...it looks like scribbles because he was scribbling but then called me in to make an A, I said no, you make me one and then he did!

- A 'C' ...

- What happens when all your color dots end up in one bath...

- And then we are learning how fish breath.

His brain is like a sponge at this age. I dont see how other parents dont use this time wisely. Oh well, to each his own. :)

Gardening means snakes....

Bryan got Caleb some gardening tools for his birthday and its just starting to get nice out so I need all the help I can get in my garden.

As you can see Caleb is a bit of a lazy gardener...

Now for the snake 'tale'. Lucy is known for killing anything that comes into her backyard from birds to woodchucks. Snakes are her favorite dish however. I hate it when she kills them so I try and rescue them when I can. This poor scared little thing was cornered under Calebs slide but couldnt pull its tail in so she had bitten it all over. I grabbed my gloves (those of you who dont know, snakes produce a liquid that makes your stomach turn by the smell of it when they are scared. I hate that on my hands) and grabbed it. I wanted Caleb to be able to see it move around so I put it in a tub. He was so excited. Then I wanted him to touch it. He was scared but he did it. Then we walked it across the road to the neighbors farm by the creek where it could make a new SAFE home.

To hear Caleb talk about it now you would think that he singlehandedly pulled the snake from its hole, showed it whos boss and threw it across the road.

Easter 2011

Being the 'photo op' person that I am, we went to the farm for the easter egg hunt. Grandma had recently purchased 3 ducks and raised them (they are the adults pictured) then she couldnt help herself and got 3 more baby ducks much to Calebs delight.

Both Grandmas got Caleb a basket but my mom gave him hers at our house along with one of those balls you can roll around in. He looooves it! Grandma Dawn made him work a little for his at her house. Thats only fair because I put her to work taking pictures so I would have this whole thing covered.

I believe in having to work for your basket....that being said David and I put it out in the hay field on top of a hill that he had to climb (finding eggs as he came).

He had a great Easter and is already looking forward to next year.

He walked with me when I took a run that evening.

Mother's Day Golf (Caleb's first time)

That being said, thats what I wanted to do for Mother's Day. Caleb was siked! We got there early so we went to one of my favorite places to eat...Fazolies mmm. Then we went to the mall to get the shoes that I needed for school and of course visited the toy barn. What an expensive store....but they have really good learning toys. We got Caleb an airplane (thats his fad now) and some learning mats.

After the mall we finally got to go into the putt putt place. Caleb knew just what to do and grabbed a ball and ran. We found a baby turtle, no bigger than a quarter and put it by the water. Later we found a big one but I did that one alone because he looked awful grumpy to me and he was in our way. I dont know who won... I David and I both did so so but we had a good time!

Caleb was extremely tired by the time we were done and took a good nap on the way home. I love my little man.

Caleb's New Swingset

I love layaway. I got this swingset for our little man from one of the last remaining KMarts in Michigan. I hate KMart but thats a whole nother story.

Anyways it took dad over two days to put it together but it was well worth it in the end. On the day that we were to take it out and assemble all the big pieces Bryan came over and helped us...thankfully.

Caleb loves it, we put his toddler swing in place of one of the others and he uses that one most of the time but we are working on getting him more accustomed with the big boy swing.

Butterflys at Fredrik Meijer Gardens

Grandma Tonya came up for the day and we scooped up Grandma Dawn as well and went to Fredrik Meijer Gardens to look at the butterfly exhibit because Caleb absolutly adores butterflies and ladybugs! Dawn was the only one of us who had ever been there before so she lead the way. We went through a desert garden and then into a room with butterflies emerging from there cacoons. How interesting! I loved that Caleb was able to see butterflies being 'born'!
From there we went into a huge room filled with trees, flowers and of course butterflies! Caleb was full of oooohhhss and ahhhhs until they started swooping him because hes so sweet :) Then he started screaming noooo because he thought they were going to hurt him. We simply never convinced him otherwise because as I was taking some pictures he ran to Grandma Tonya and said he had to go potty so we dropped everything and ran! He made it and it was his first time going in a public bathroom!
We plan on taking him back as soon as it warms up a bit.

Music Class

So he doesnt get to play lots of instruments like I thought he would, but we have fun!
We mostly play with scarves, dance around and sing. Once in a while Mrs. Ella brings out a drum and lets the kids take turns making a song. Caleb adores that! He also loves the song 'popcorn' but usually wants a 'popsicle' and thats usually when we have to leave because he knows that we grocery shop after class :)
There are only a couple more classes to go and I have been trying to get some play dates in order so he will have some friends his age to play with... we will see how things go.

Potty Training

We had tried to potty train Caleb when he was 2 1/2 but things just didnt happen like that so we gave it a little time.
The second go around was just before his 3rd birthday but after all the hype from his party had died down. At first I though that I was going to tear all my hair out before this was all said and done but he started making progress pretty quickly and things got better. After the second week he regressed and we thought it was all overwith but then he just took himself to the potty on his own and he never looked back!

Caleb is one of the most spoiled sweet toddlers alive!
When dad and I got back from splash universe Bryan and Trevor had cleaned the house (very good babysitters), what a great surprise!
Caleb loves it when he can watch people play Mario on the wii and its Mario's 25th birthday this year so I thought what better of a theme than that! I went a little overboard, but thats normal :)
Like always, some people cant make it last minute and others come that you didnt know were coming, it all works out in the end. We had a good turn out this year and Caleb got loads of goodies as you can see.

Splash Unvierse

I planned on having Calebs birthday party at home until my mom suggested having it at a waterpark. I'm one of those go big or go home kind of people so I went big and had one of both.
Caleb was so excited when we got there but wouldnt seperate from Bryan and John had forgotten his trunks so they went back into town to get some new ones. When they finally got back Caleb wasnt as overjoyed. He clung to Bryan like the world would end if he let go. After a little bit we got him to warm up and enjoy himeself. He completly wore himself out and asked to go home.
Bryan and Trevor had agreed to take him back to the house and babysit him for the night so mom and dad could have some alone time. He was great for them and when we got home he hadnt even missed us :)

Christmas!

Caleb was over joyed to find where I had hidden the Christmas presents but was very patient in waiting for Christmas to open them. It got harder for him though when we put them all under the tree where they taunted him daily.
Grandma Dawn has a little tree that she lets Caleb decorate every year at her house. He would move the decorations that she put on there to where he deemed they needed to be.
When Christmas finally came I put a huge Rudolph stuffed animal at the bottom of the stairs so he would see it when he first came down the stairs. He was so scared of it but now we cant pry him off of it! Then it was time to open presents which is no problem for an almost 3 year old that has been looking at his presents for about 2 months. Once the presents were all unwrapped and things were cleaned up we had breakfast and then Dad and Caleb went to Grandmas house and I took a nap :)

First Time Sledding

I have been waiting years for Caleb to be old enough to go sledding down the huge hill at the Kilmers house! This year was the year finally! He couldnt have been more happy. We didnt think that we would be getting a big snow storm like we ususally do so we went when there was only about 6 inches. It was really nice because someone is awful heavy coming back up the hill...

Decorating for Christmas

I let Caleb pick out the decorations for the outside tree this year since our old ones were getting a bit shabby. He first picked out a red hat society tree but that wasnt really fitting so he then picked out the most colorful collection he could find. I didnt care, we also got multi colored lights to make it that much more crazy. I also put up the inside tree but I did that when Bryan was here so I could do it in peace.

Caleb loves crafting. We do something craftlike everyday, its basically our highlight! I figured he was old enough to make some hand turkeys so we got dad involved and we all made some for the wall and the scrapbook. I had to work on Thanksgiving but dad and Caleb still went over to Grandma and Grandpas house for some dinner. Grandma quickly found out that Caleb is a big boy now and refuses to be put in a high chair. He demands his own big chair. I put up the Christmas tree the next day and that was a whole nother adventure...

A Wonderland Halloween

I like to do a theme for things. This Halloween was no exception. I thought that everyone would love doing the new Alice and Wonderland so we all picked out our favorite characters. Everyone except Aiden because it was his first real halloween and Kelsey had dreamed of him being a garden knome since before he was born so I let that slide :). Caleb I thought would make a fantastic mad hatter, Me; Tweedle Dee, Kelsey; Tweedle Dum, Grandma Tonya; March Hare, Grandma Dawn; White Rabbit and Trevor; The White Queen. David refused to dress up....
Caleb has a running 2nd place stretch so I was looking for a win but we took 2nd place which was great! Aiden also got 2nd place in another category so we basically dominated Charlton Park. I am so competitive but I cant help it. I already have next year planned out but its a secret shhhh.

Pumpkin Carving

This is the first year that Caleb can really appreciate the carving experience so we took full advantage of it of course.
We got several pumpkins and let him pick a couple to carve and paint. I did most of the work and he did most of the supervising but hes a novice so its ok. I tried to get him to pick out some of the guts but he just wouldnt get his hands dirty :)
I think we did a really good job concidering his not wanting anything to do with the pumpkin guts part. The faces he was making were unbelievable sometimes.

Fall Family Photos

I have been wanting to take family pictures here for years! I finally talked David into doing it here. Priscilla owed me for taking pictures of her and her dogs for the holiday card so it was her turn to take some for us :).
It was fun playing with Caleb through all the trees and him making funny faces. Ahh fun times were had by all. I couldnt wait to print them off so Priscilla and I drove right up to Meijer to print them off. I do wish that the sun had been pointing in the other direction but what can you do right? Oh well, they came out great after a little adjusting.

Lots of Leaves

Last year, Caleb really didnt care much for the leaf piles we raked up. This year was way different. He couldnt get enough of them. We played out in the leaf piles for hours at night. He also got a little tikes house and he would clean the leaves out of the bottom of it every night. He also got his first real sucker. I didnt let him eat the whole thing but it was great when Grandma Dawn came over and saw the huge spider inside of it. Fall is a great time of year for little boys with lots of energy!

Road Trip

Kelsey and I get into some strange situations sometimes, especially when we take road trips. We meant to just grab the kids and go to her school to pay a bill but we ended up protesting for gay rights and hitting a state park on the way home. It was fall and beautiful out! We took so many pictures but there is never enough room on a blog :). Anyways it was called sleepy hollow state park....how can you not stop? The boys loved it but they were getting cranky and we had been gone for about 5 hours so we headed home. Caleb took one of his only in car naps that day. Ahh such fine memories.

Second Day In Chicago

As I said, our day began waaay to early for any of us. Keep that in mind as you read...
First thing we did was celebrate Davids 26th birthday :) He thought that I had forgotten it or something but I'm just good and hid his present well. Then Caleb spotted some airplanes out of the bedroom window and stayed to watch that for a while. About 8am I figured out that I was also sick, hoorah. I took some benadryl, never do that when you have not slept and plan on having a long day. Anyways so we hopped in the car and drove to the John G Shedd Aquarium. It was the biggest fish tank I had ever seen! Caleb absolutly loved the fish. It was hard to pry him away from there. Next, we were going to go to Millenium park but we couldnt find it.... We started walking around and stumbled upon the Field Museum so we decided to check it out. It was sooo expensive but we thought Caleb would enjoy it so we went it. Caleb loved it, the first part of it and through lunch. After lunch he had had enough of the whole being in Chicago thing and was ready to go. I was bound and determined to get my full of the place before we left but I never found the SUE exhibit that we actually wanted to see until we had gotten into the car and I had taken a picture of the enterance. Oh well, it comes there every 10 years and when Caleb is 13 he will appreciate it more then so its ok.
Caleb slept all the way home :) I think he enjoyed his time in Chicago but were not planning a road trip anytime soon.

The First Day In Chicago

We decided that we would take a family vacation every year starting this year. What a better place to start than Chicago. We looked up the best childrens museums and one of the best was in there. When we first got there, we parked the car and took a walk down the boardwalk and then into the childrens museum. Caleb was blown away by the sheer size of the place, it was massive. We stayed there for a couple of hours and then drove to the hotel where we had planned on getting some dinner and then turning in early so we would be fully rested for the next days adventure. Caleb on the other hand had other things in mind...he cried for about an hr in his back n play and then finally barged into our room at 2am. He climbed into bed with us and slept on and off for about 15 mins and then I gave up and went out into the other room with him because David was getting sick. I though that maybe I could lay with him and get him to sleep but to no avail...we had breakfast at 3am and started our day. Needless to say, we didnt stay through the next night like we had planned haha.

Binder Park Zoo

We planned a group trip to the zoo, some of the people couldnt come but it was a pretty good turn out still. John, Grandma Dawn, Brenda and her crew and of course mom and dad came.
You looooved the zoo and fed the giraffes and goats. I love to hear you squeal and you did it so much when you were feeding the giraffes! We took a ride on the carosel that we ride every year and you threw a fit after we left it because you were perfectly content riding it till it fell apart.

Firstly, you should know that Caleb and Aiden have bonded over there love of food. Caleb realized that Aiden loves to be fed and that he loves to feed him. Kelsey and Sarah from work both came over with their kids and Uncle Carl and Aunt Theresa came to see you. Caleb discovered a love for watermelon and ate probably half of a huge one! He then spent the rest of his afternoon feeding Aiden sand :)

At the Duck/Goose Park

Every week I take Caleb to a park to play for the day and we would ususally get icecream (cream cream) from Dairy Queen while we were out. I loved those days. His favorite thing to do is go to the duck park and feed the ducks leftover bread, and the occasional goose that wonders in. He also loves to go to the 'wood' park that has a dinosaur because its absolutly huge! I just love the last pic of him pondering what to do next.

The Pool

How much does Caleb hate his ducky lifevest....a whole lot. But its safety first in our pool. We had hoped that he would be more interested in learning how to swim this year but he clung to us just like last year. Its ok though he will get it. Finally after a couple trips to the pool he got confident enough to swim alone with his ducky and a ring around him. It was so cute. Whats up for next year? Hopefully he will learn how to swim (with a life vest of course).

    We made the trip down the Quincy for the family reunion this year again but there wasnt as good of a turn out as there was the year before...
    Oh well, Caleb still had loads of fun. He skipped rocks with grandma and got to ride on a boat again this year. Kelsey came and brought Aiden so Caleb had someone to play with but Aiden being only a year old crashed in his carseat on the boat ride and Caleb wanted so badly to wake him up but we wouldnt let him :)
    We attempted a family pic but Caleb wasnt really in a photogenic mood and wated to go home but it turned out alright in the end.

Caleb has been a very busy boy these past couple of weeks with Charlton park, but even more busy here at the house!

He helps in the garden, plays in the pool, cleans his little house, plays in the sand, and lots more. Its no wonder he has FINALLY allowed himself to sleep in the car! That is sooo wonderful let me tell you. Although it was probably just one of those freak occurances....

He spilt milk on his space ship door the other day and freaked out when I started taking it off because its made of wood...he was cool though when he realized it was still going to be in his room (we will sneak it out soon). He then was forced to sleep in his bed like a big boy...IT WORKED! OMG, it has been so amazing for him to finally sleep in a big boy bed on his own. Our next venture, potty training. Well thats about all he has been up to. Sorry I havent been updating but I dont usually go to the salon in the summer (its the slow season for massage). I'll update again as soon as I can.

Civil War Muster

The weekend after the Gas N Steam Engine show, Charlton Park had the annual Civil War Muster.

We had planned on all dressing up this year but it was soooo hot out none of us did. We just kept telling ourselves, next year.

Caleb met Mr. Lincoln and made a tour around the park and took pics all the way. He didnt stay for the battle because it was time for a nap so him and dad went home and slept while grandma and I stayed and watched. Last year at the Bowens Mills reinactment, Caleb was running to get into the fight, this year at Charlton park he was at ease just watching them blow off the cannons and shot the guns from a distance :).

Steam engine show

Caleb attended the gas and steam engine show at Charlton Park a couple weeks ago and loved every second of it!

He rode in the tractor parade with his dad on the Ford, ate Hillbillys Heavenly Hog, looked at all the tractors and even took a ride on a 'dream machine' mom. He also picked out a new charlton park 2010 shingle to add to his collection. I bet he cant wait till next year!

Art Lovin Country Boy

Caleb met his first chicken this week. The neighbor across the street has a coop. He has seen them at the fair and on tv, but this was totally different to him. He was clucking and cheep cheeping at them. Then he pet a small rooster. The kiddy corner neighbor has goats and chickens. Caleb helped feed the goats (Bob and CoCoa). He didnt want to leave.

The art fair was in Hastings this week and Grandma Dawn, Caleb and I stumbled into it on a trip through town. Caleb loved the fountain (he loves water) and the giant flower and dragon fly statue.

Caleb's first wheat crop is doing well and will be ready to harvest soon. Here he is checking on its progress. I also got a video of grandpa throwing a fit on the ground, but we will save that for a christmas surprise.

Dog Gone Fun

Priscilla came over and brought Lucy's brother Baxter over to visit. We were all hoping that the pool would be warm enough to get into, but nope. It was like ice.

Caleb played with the dogs when he had a chance to and then settled down for a picnic at his little table. The dogs got into a small skuffle over the empty plate and that scared him a little but then he laughed because they were being silly.

Priscilla and I were working on our tans while Caleb was showing her how he gets onto his rock wall and then slides down and where all his toys were.

I stained the back deck yesterday and made a new garden by the garage. Hopefully, we can get the one last untaimed part of the yard landscaped this year....fingers crossed. Its going to take lots of money and time, its one of those things that you either have one or the other of. Oh well, we will get it done eventually.

How to make strawberry shortcake; Caleb style

Caleb has been busy this week.
One day he went over to the farm and grandma dawn wanted to pick some strawberries....you know who wanted to help eat them! You guess it, our little man.

As fast as we could pick them and put them in Calebs bucket, he would snatch up the best ones and eat them before we could stop him...we finally just let him go :).

Later that day we took a dip in the pool for the first time this year! How excited was Caleb? He actually got into his little duck life vest! He really enjoyed the water even though it was extremly cold. Then dad got home and he played in the pool with him.

The next day we had a date for grandma to come over and have some strawberry shortcake with us that Caleb had helped make. He smushed the strawberries and made sure they had just the right amount of sugar! I made the pound cake though because 'that hot'.

By the time Grandma got there, Caleb had already started his cake!

That was our week, :).

New Pool

Caleb talked grandma Dawn into getting him a small pool for their backyard. He absolutly loves it, and so do Mason and Dixie!

Mason didnt want to go for a dip, but he kept taking drinks out of the pool, so Caleb decided to give it a try. We grabbed Dixie and threw her in also, but she got right out-party pooper.

He has also been a really good helper this week. He found out that you can fill your watering can from the dog water bowl in the back yard. He thought my hens and chicks needed some rain so he gave them a drink...he kind of over watered but oh well. I then directed his efforts at my hydrangea bush, that always needs a good drink.

Today when I get home, we are going to do our Fathers Day because Dad really needs his gift. Its a weedeater but shh its a secret!

Later this week I will be doing the iron on transfers for the zoo shirts, they are going to be so cute!

As many of you know, lots of my pictures got delted from my computer. I still have Caleb's on a backup, but the ones that I took for my photography are gone. Thankfully, I put the 'unidentified worm' on here.

Well getting to the point. No one knew what that worm was or what it would turn into. Then a couple months later in the backyard my mom found a huuuge moth. I took pictures that were much better than this one, and he was redder but you get the gist. There was a report on the news and everything about how these moths havent been seen here in so long and now they are back. I missed what it was called. I just thought it was cool that I took a picture of one.

Then today I find out after trying to identify a caterpillar that Caleb and I are now raising, that the 'unidentified worm' was really a silkmoth caterpillar and it turns into a huge Silk Moth.

I just thought it was wierd how some things end.

On another note, I will take some pictures of our new caterpillar...I think it will turn into another moth if we can keep it alive. Hopefully it will live and Caleb will get to see it coacoon and change into a moth or butterfly!

This week Caleb has been busy. He got sick again with the same crap we all got about 6 weeks ago; out both ends and just feeling bad. Then mom got it again and now dad is down with it. I am better now and so is Caleb but it is just crappy.

Anyways, Caleb has been visiting the farm and taking walks whenever we get there. He doesnt like to be in the stroller long, he likes to walk. When the horses are out, we dont like him to walk because they get a little nosey if you know what I mean. He is getting better at walking through the tall grass though.

We also found a cool park that Caleb loves....we just have to go when there are not a lot of big kids because there are some places that he can just walk off of, so mom and dad follow him around and he loves it!

Even though I was feeling really crappy yesterday, I went to a garage sale that was selling a step 2 house...I have really been wanting one for Caleb so even though I puked on the way back, I it was worth it!

I will post more pics, but I am kind of in a hurry today. One more massage and then going to get
Grandma Tonya, so its going to be a long evening. I plan on being home at 10pm if all goes to plan.

Innocence is Bliss

Story 1:

Caleb and I went to Priscilla's for lunch. We went and sat in her backyard around her table (Caleb in the middle). Caleb knows his manners and uses them most of the time, but outright refuses to say please....He wanted a drink of Priscilla's tea and she was giving him some sips...I noticed that he wasn't saying please so I told her to make him use his manners before he got anymore. He of course got mad and was saying things like 'want more' & 'want drink thank you'. It was adorable but, didnt get him what he wanted. He has been slapping people in the face when he gets mad so I warned her about that. We thought he was going to slap her in the face but instead he grabbed ahold of her neck skin and said gobble! It was so funny. He didnt know what we were laughing so hard at and then just grabbed my hand and walked me to the car.

Story 2:

I was playing with Caleb in the backyard a couple of days ago when I noticed a couple strips of bark off the tree. Me as an adult think hmm, I wonder what caused it and move on. Caleb on the other hand today sees a piece of bark on the ground on the other side of the yard, carries it over to the tree and sits it where the tree is bare. He then states 'All done tree' It was soooo cute.

Amanda and Alexis Visit

Of course our hopes are to get them down the isle atleast once....during Amandas wedding, but hopefully twice with their wedding included. She is adorable and cuddly! We got some pics done 'professionally' we were really disappointed with them so we took some at my house before they left for the long trip back to Ohio. Oh well, I got to look at the pics online and some of them came out decient, so I will be getting some for my photo collage. I wish we could have done some more things together but its a long trip with such a little baby girl.

Caleb didnt know what to think of her, he has never seen a little girl and kept pulling her headband and snapping her in the head. I kept telling him to pet her nice (it works with the cat). He was nicer then and wanted to play with her. He also tried to steal her bottle, but I dont think Amanda saw that. :) Hopefully, they will be able to come up for the cookout in July and we can get some good pics of them both in the pool.

A rainy couple of weeks

It has been raining here non stop for about 2 weeks. It may not seem like it from some of these pics, but it has really been making Caleb mad!

Oh well, today is beautiful and hopefully we will have a good weekend!

Caleb spent the sunny but cold moments outside taking care of his trees that for some reason needed water. He also tended to my alliums-I love those pics! He also made sure the horses were staying dry in the barn.

Of course I take loads more pics than I post, its hard to just put a few on each week and sum it up. He gets so much bigger everyday. He is over 3 feet tall now! Thats about it for this post. Hope you enjoyed your weekly dose of my little man...

The Greenhouse

My camera decided to take a dive a couple days ago....so I made a trip up to work (meijer) and got another one, and I love it!

I stopped and got Kelsey and Aiden and we all went to the park and I took some pics of our picnic and play time. Caleb is so adorable when he is in a new place...very inquisitive but well behaved.

Later that day after someone had had his nap, we swung by and picked up Dawn and went to a couple greenhouses. Caleb loves to see the new plants and he is learning to smell them this year..so cute. One greenhouse we go to has a petting zoo, a moon bounce and a huge sandbox. Needless to say, he loves it! The other one has a really pretty water wheel that he cant get enough of.

Grandma and Earthday

Grandma Tonya came up this week and we played at the parks and went to Dairy Queen with her a couple times. It was nice because she took Caleb for a walk while I painted some planets in Calebs spaceship bed. Its almost completly decked out now! I will get some pics up here when its done all the way.

We took a trip to cherry valley greenhouse again this year and they opened up a petting zoo. Caleb loved the plants and showed us all his favorites. Grandma Dawn who loves fiber animals heard the lamas talking down the bank and then snatched Caleb up and took him to look at the animals. My mom and I followed and I soon made friends with a baby cow (he was adorable). Caleb who loves bunnies, put his hand into the bunny cage to pet the bunnies...then we heard him screaming and he had gotten bit-kinda bad on the pinkey finger :(. We found someone that worked there and got him a bandaid and peroxide. He was brave when he saw a little girl and took it like a man. Mom got some dogwoods and Caleb helped plant them in the backyard the next day.

Earthday was this Thursday, so we planted some maple trees in a planter in the backyard so they can grow a little more before we plant them in the ground and so dad doesnt mow them over :) Caleb went with Grandma Dawn and I took my mom home. Dawn is going to be planting some more fruit trees at her house this week, so plan on more pics of that as I am sure she will have a little helper.

We have been going to the park about 3 times a week and he loves it! He thinks that the slides are all his, but he lets the other kids play on them too :) He has also been going to DQ a lot and he is learning how to lick a cone (yes!)

Thankfully Caleb was feeling better on Easter! He really loves his M&Ms and he knew his eggs were full of them. David and I got him a Toy Story bucket with bubbles, a M&M dispenser, sunglasses and other goodies. My mom got him both of the Toy Story movies to put in his basket also. Dawn couldnt help herself and got him a Cars bucket with some candies and the Cars movie.

He had a really great Easter all in all. He colored eggs...and himself. He knew just what to do with the eggs that the Easter Bunny left him around the tree too!

I love this because he looks soooo small in contrast to the barn!

Caleb thinks that he needs to go to the farm once a day to see granny and grampy. He always gets up in the morning, grabs his shoes before breakfast and says either 'wanna go' or 'bye bye'. Its really cute and he makes it hard to say no.

It has been raining here for the past week so we havent been going to the grandparents house.

The Wednesday before Easter Caleb woke up at 4am with vomiting...so at 6am we took him to the ER. They gave him a pill and he was fine so we decided to still go along with the trip to see my mom in Sturgis. Everything was going awsome at Applebees and then at the park...till we got back in the car...Caleb lost it and puked all over himself and my mom. We got him cleaned up and he slept all the way home and then went to sleep for the night when we got home.

Needless to say he was 'ok' the next day but not great. Friday Caleb was back to himself then... I got it....out of both ends...I thought greeeeaaaat. Then I called my mom...yepp she had it and was laying on the floor at work. Sat came and Caleb was fine, I was fine, my mom was fine....David came into the bedroom at 6am and had it. I called in and 2 days later he is better :)

Long story short...if your kid gets sick, stock up on the gatorade and call in for the next couple days.

I got bored and I have been watching kitchen nightmares so I got inspired...for breakfast

These are from the past week. We got the bathroom done! Yeah! Caleb loves it, he cried when he saw that we were taking it apart. He says that he is 2 now but holds up one finger. He is getting excited about his birthday and I am going to start decorating the house soon. Aiden and Kelsey have been staying a couple of nights and Caleb is starting to warm up to Aiden. He says baby and he has started to say baby stinky, in tub. He got to the fish food again and ate almost the entire container, much to my dismay. Oh well, he just poops orange for a while.

Don't forget his Birthday is Feb 20th @ 3pm!

First Dentist Appointment

So it didnt go very well...he was a good boy but they just charged me $76 to tell me that he had 16 teeth...ummm, I already knew that lol. Atleast he is doing alright in the tooth department anyways. He picked out a toothbrush and showed Danielle and Dr. Phil how he brushes his teeth and they told me that I need to floss his teeth...ok well I will when they are close to touching eachother...Here are the pics from our little adventure.

Trip to see Grandma Tonya

We went out to eat at Applebees after going and picking grandma up from work. We had the worst waiter known to man and to top it off he put a full glass of water right in front of Caleb and before we could stop him, he had spilled it all over himself! I was freezing outside and I had brought another shirt but no pants and the bathroom didnt have a blow drying hand thing so we had to run him out to the car in wet pants, but we let him just eat in his diaper...

Then we went for a couple rounds on Aunt Beths motorized wheel chair and Caleb met Ozzy, my moms bearded dragon. He really didnt mind him but I dont think the he knew what we wanted him to do about the thing. He fell asleep right when we got back into the car and then slept the whole night! It was pretty awsome.

Calebs 2nd Christmas went really well! He got a lot more than I expected but he took it all in stride. He loved the John Deere petal tractor that we all got him, he wouldnt even get off it to let the guys fully put it together or open any other gifts. He was really good though, always saying Tank E...thats Caleb for Thank You. Thank You everyone for another awsome christmas!

Here we are trying to get caleb into a toddler bed...he seemed to love it. I say seemed because he really hated it! I cant even begin to describe what it was like that night. All we did was take off the one side of his crib...he was up for 12 straight hrs after his bedtime before I caved...it was terrible.

Then we found out that he is a smearer...he takes his poo out of his diaper and paints everything he can with it...so problem solved right..put him in zip up pjs all the time till he gets over this phase...

Wrong..

He has learned to take himself out of the pjs trough the head hole w/o undoing anything...we just hope for the best at nap times now...

We also got another kitten and named him Crispin...he loves him!

Trip to Indiana to see Heidi and Seirra

Here are the photos from our trip to Indiana on Davids 25th Birthday. It was such a long trip for our little guy, he didnt mind the trip down there as much as he hated it on the way back up...he knew what was coming.

He met my cousin Heidi for the first time and met her daughter-his 'cousin' for the first time also. He loved them both..he wasnt sure on what to do about Sierra at first because she was so much bigger than him but they got along great. The better pics are on my mother in laws camera but these are from the park and the way home.

Monsters, Pumpkins and Worms

Caleb is leaning against 19 months already. I havent been taking as much photos as I was because I have been so busy and we really havent done anything that different lately.

We went to the farm and Grandpa told us about a worm that was on the shed. We must have looked odd from the road because David, Me, Caleb, Lloyd and Dawn were all over there looking at this huge caterpillar. Grandpa was going to let Caleb touch it and Dawn and I freaked out...I just thought that it looked suspicious and shouldnt be trusted and Grandma thought the same thing. Grandpa thought that we were being over protective because I said it may be poisonous and laughed. Caleb then proceded to stick his arm and then his head into a hole that goes under the barn...I grabbed him of course. Boys get into so much trouble no matter how old they get!

The next time we went to the farm Grandma said that the pumpkins were ready. Yeah! I ran inside and got her camera because I wasnt expecting photos that day. He liked being in the patch for a little while but he started touching the stems and the leaves and they are poky so he wanted out. He picked out a green pumpkin and a nice orange one. They are now on my front steps. He is so proud.

Today, we put him into his Monster pjs to go down for a nap-story to follow. He is still too short for the 24 month but he is to tall for the 18 month ones so the feet drag on the floor and its kind of hard for him to walk but he mananges. I just thought that it was funny seeing him getting into stuff with 'huge' feet. So heres why he gets put in nightys even for nap time. Caleb has taken to making a poop 'yeah good for him' but he doesnt tell you anymore about the poo. He usually does it just before or during his morning nap...God help you if its during...he strips all his clothes off, takes his diaper half off and throws his turds all over his bedroom(white carpet!) and he eats some of course, gets it under his nails, in the sheets that are now in the trash, and the walls and crib. Needless to say-I dont need that and he hasnt figured zippers out yet so hopefully by the time he does he will be ready to potty train. Already 18 Months Old!

He wouldn't leave the big blueberry for anything! He had never rode the horse so dad helped him at the Masonic Picnic.
Driving the train at the fair this year, we were so excited that he could ride the rides this year-I think he rode 5 of them...

I dont know if Caleb thinks of Ruby as a horse or a slide now! Grandpa is dressed as a Union soldier in the Civil War Muster at Charlton Park.

He got is first real haircut-I chose a faux-hawk and he loves it-grandma dawn on the other hand misses his curls!

Caleb is 18 months old today! He is getting to be such a big boy too. He walks really well now and has his own language, but he is learning to speak english also. Its so wierd how moms can tell what their kids are saying but no one else can. I guess its because you are around them so much you learn parts of their language as you go along just like they are learning yours, thankfully the parents dont end up speaking baby talk in the end. He has begun the game of grab something that you shouldnt have and run away with it. IF you catch him he is really good about giving it back to you, if you dont get him you probably wont see whatever he took for a while ex: your keys. He also got his first 'professional' haircut yesterday. He loves his faux-hawk! I wasnt sure how he would be getting cut with the clippers but he did really well and he seems to like his hair shorter too. I am teaching him to spike the front and he is doing a really good job.

David and I have decided to wait until Caleb goes into school full time to if at all have another baby. We would like to spend all of our time and money on him atleast for now-we have realized how much we have missed and are beginning to see every moment in a new light. David just adores spending time with his little man now that he can just put him in the car and go somewhere. I think we are planning a John Deere trip for tomorrow. I was going to be getting a new stroller with Kelsey tomorrow at Babies R Us but she started having contractions today so I think she may be a little busy tomorrow. She cant wait to get Aiden out of her lol. She has promised that I will get to baby sit and my friend Cassie is also having a little boy-Noah in December. Finally I found out what my best friend Amanda is having and I am happy to report its a girl in December as well! I was really hoping that I would have a niece. I went a little over the top when I found out because we were having a really good sale at work so I got a lot of little girl things. I have to get to making the baby blankets though I only have about 3 more months to go! I think that Caleb and myself will both have enough to deal with baby wise for a while atleast. Here are the photos from the family reunion at Uncle Bills house on Marble Lake. He was such a good boy! He rode the boat and looked out the whole time and he even drove the boat! He met his 'cousin' Regan-sorry if I misspelled it Tyler. She drove the boat too. He wanted to get his feet wet so we got him into his swimsuit and he took a dip with grandma tonya. He didnt mind going to anyone and he was walking around and stealing food like a seagull. This post wasnt big enough for all the pics so I am going to make another one.
